  • Developmental screenings for infants and toddler
  • A newborn home visit from a registered nurse
  • On-going home visits for expecting and new parents
  • Referrals to community resources

Family Wraparound Oversight Committee provides:

  • A review of children with multiple needs
  • Family-centered, strengths-based case planning with outcome expectations for each child
  • Service Coordination
  • Shared funding to provide services
  • Regular monitoring and evaluation of treatment plans

School Based Prevention Programs - FUNDED THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF THE RAYMOND JOHN WEAN FOUNDATION

  • Second Step programming in Newton Falls Elementary School

County-Wide Orientation Program provides a county-wide, comprehensive, on-site orientation for new employees and board members of participating agencies and for members of the community. The program:
  • Promotes collaboration between agencies
  • Promotes working relationships among agency employees
  • Provides comprehensive, up-to-date accurate information about community services
  • Reduces training time and costs for community agencies
  • Reduces barriers to navigating the service system
Ohio Children's Trust Fund
With an award from the Ohio Children's Trust Fund, Council provides financial resources to support local child abuse prevention programs. Funding in 2005-2006 supports:
CAMP FRIENDSHIP - Free summer camp experience for school aged children
 CATHOLIC CHARITIES - Together We Can, a conflict resolution and anger management program for Trumbull County Schools
 SOLACE CENTER - Parenting enrichment sessions for parents and children and a parenting newsletter
TRUMBULL COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM - Health assessments  and home health and safety checklists with Head Start students
 COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS - Swim/gym classes for children 0-3 and their parents and Super Saturdays for families, in cooperation with the Trumbull County YMCA
